Google introduced DESIGN.md as a specification for describing visual identity for [[20260306121823-ai-instructions]]. Namely, for [[designsystem]].
Once created, you can use the spec to catch broken token references, WCAG contrast ratios, etc.
It hasn't entirely caught on, being mainly referenced in Google Sketch documentation. But it's another idea in trying to create [[20260612105419-llms-documentation-structured-data]] as AI gets more popular.
